The Lazy Days of Summer

Just because these are the lazy days of summer, this doesn't mean that your mind should be idle or that you should be bored. The lazy days of summer is a good time to pick up an exciting book and one that will spark the imagination, turning a boring day into one that is full of adventure, surprise, magic and intrique. As an author, Winona Rasheed has several books that will take a child's imagination on a magical carpet ride as they flip through the pages of fairytales with fun loving characters, engaging plots and themes. One such book is SMILES AND FROWNS THROUGH ANIMAL TOWN'S STORYBOOK. Inside you get to read such titles as: Slowpoke and Speedy The Bear's Adventure Day Duchy's Sunshine Party Escape from Shady Grove Farm Buster Brown Bear's Manners Five short stories that will brighten a lazy summer day. This book can be purchased at Amazon.com. If your reader is between the ages of 6-9, they will love this book and so will you. Look for it today......you will be glad you did.

Well people, me and my books are still here and we are doing good. Can't complain because royalties are still coming in, little by little and that is a good thing.
I thought I'd have a new title by now to add to Honeysuckle Book Tree. But that is still in the air. However, it is still early in 2012, so anything can happen. I submitted it and now I am in the waiting game...waiting patiently for a response.

If you have been wondering what I have been doing while I wait, well let me tell you, I am not sitting around twiddling my fingers and chewing on my nails in anticipation. I keep busy! As a writer, there is always something to do. I freelance write, blog and of course I do the Facebook thing, the twitter thing and yesterday I started the Tumblr thing, which is a bit confusing because I don't know what the heck I am doing. Which makes me wonder if I should even be there. As an author, you always try new avenues that will help you promote your books and yourself as a writer/author. I love promoting my stuff.

If by chance you happen to be reading this post, I have to remind you of all my books that are available, especially if you don't have a copy sitting on your bookshelf, which would be an ashame. All of my books are at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. You can order them right online. They come as paperbacks, and you can get them as ebooks to use on your electronic gadgets, like Kindle. So far, all my books are for children ages 6-10. I also have one Y/A or Young Adult book, which is my latest called "Broken Voices". Sounds good doesn't it? Well, let me tell you....it is.
My other titles includes:
A New Home for Her Cubs
Wohali and the Little People
Stories from Grandma's Garden
Sugar and Spice Fairy Tales for Girls
Smiles and Frowns through Animal Town Storybook.

The last three book titles in this list have multiple stories in them, for hours of good reading material that will brighten a child's day, or create happy dreams for bedtime. Hey, do you read to your children? Now would be a good time to start if you don't. They will enjoy it and so will you!

Thank you for stopping by my little humble place. Remember, you will always find a good read here, either in my blogs or in my available books. Don't be a stranger, follow me.......please.

2011 is Fading

Here is a little update for my Honeysuckle Book Tree. 2011 is fading fast, in a few more days we will have a brand new year. I hope it arrives with blessings and good cheer for everyone.
Are you making any new year resolutions? My only resolution is to have another book published so I can add it to my Honeysuckle Book Tree. I already sent a manuscript off to a publisher, now I am waiting for their response. I do hope it gets accepted. I believe it will make a good book to put on your child's book shelf. This book is humorous, because wherever I go, I love to bring smiles and laughter, even when my heart is breaking. I am good at doing that, but that is a different story that I will not go into. This page is about my books, not my mood swings. LOL
So, without further delay, I just want to say..........Happy New Years! Lets get some books published in 2012!!!! Let's get them published and sold!

Book Update for October 2011

Well here is some good news for a Monday morning. I just got word that three of my books will be selling in four countries. These books are the first ones that I had published. So, from this day forward, "Stories from Grandma's Garden, Sugar and Spice Fairy Tales for Girls and Smiles and Frowns through Animal Town's Storybook" will be gaining exposure in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and of course in the UK.

Now this makes me feel super good, my books going around the world and in the hands of children. I like hearing that. What do you think? I told you it is great being an author. What are you waiting on? Get creative!

Thanks Lulu.com!

Book Reminder

Okay, here I am doing a little updating on my blogs. I think it is a good time to remind everyone that I am a book author. Yes, that is right, I have books for kids, from 6 year olds to teenagers. All together, I have 6 published books and you can see all of them on the Honeysuckle Book Tree Blog. And of course, if you see a title you like you can always hop on over to http://www.amazon.com and pick it up.

My latest book is Broken Voices, a book for teens. Actually, it has been out for a while and it was published by New Line Press, which is an awesome publisher. As a matter of fact, I have two books published by New Line Press. The second book is A New Home for Her Cubs.

I am very proud of all my books. I love the characters and the theme ideas behind them.

So if you haven't had a chance to look at them on Amazon. Here is your chance, for I am going to give you all the titles. You can order them as print copies, or you can purchase them as ebooks, whatever hits your fancy.

Smiles and Frowns through Animal Town's Storybook
Sugar and Spice Fairy Tales for Girls
Stories from Grandma's Garden
Wohali and the Little People
A New Home for Her Cubs
Broken Voices.

Can't you Tell that I just love to write?????
